>> What do we mean by "March of the Surviving Youth"?
If you think about, we are survivors. Every person born in the United States after abortion was legalized in 1973 could have legally been killed had their parents wanted to. And so many have. One third of the generation of 13 to 25 year olds are missing due to abortion. That's our generation.
This evil has devastated our society by erasing millions of lives from the face of the earth. That's dreams, hopes, joys, stories that never had the chance to be. Even more important those are people we never met, maybe even best friends who just never had the chance to live because of one "choice."
>> What's a "Jericho March"?
Remember in Bible when Joshua was leading the Israelites through the desert and they came across a huge city called Jericho? The Isrealites were daunted by the very size of the city and became afraid and did not want to continue. But how did God say they would defeat it? As strange as it sounds He told them to walk in circles. Seven circles to be exact around the entire city. He also instructed that trumpets be blown at every round. And when they obeyed his commands the walls of Jericho crumbled down.
What does this have to do with the MOTSY? Well we do something very similar to what the Israelites did so long ago. We march seven times in front of planned parenthood praying the Rosary and blowing trumpets at the end of every round. Now we're not expecting the walls of the building to suddenly come down (though that'd be sight). But we have faith that through our efforts and witness the walls around the hearts of mothers, fathers, doctors, politicians, everyone may crumble away so that all Life may be safe even from the first moments of conception.
